Claudia Mármol is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and the President and Founder of Heal the World Behavioral Services, LLC. She is a Venezuelan native who received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida International University. She then went on to pursue a Masters of Arts degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of South Florida.

Claudia’s passion for working with children with special needs began while she attended school and was the president of a project, Kiwanis Horses and Handicapped. From 2001-2006, Claudia helped various children with autism, down syndrome, mental retardation, and cerebral palsy with their therapeutic riding programs. Claudia first had the opportunity to work directly with children on the autism spectrum as a therapist in 2007. Since then, she has worked with numerous children of various ethnicities, backgrounds, and related disorders as well as typical children exhibiting problem behaviors in clinical settings, family homes, and schools.

Claudia specializes in the development, implementation, and supervision of Verbal Behavior Programs in both English and Spanish. She focuses on teaching and supervising the implementation of language skills, academic skills, social and play skills, as well as self-help skills and problem behaviors. Claudia also conducts parent and therapist training with the utilization of behavior analytic principles and implements intensive toilet training programs as well as feeding programs for children with very limited food intake due to sensory issues or behavioral concerns.

Claudia’s daily goal is to make life-changing moments for the children and families she serves, by increasing each child’s functional communication skills while decreasing their problem behaviors. She regularly attends workshops and trainings to remain current in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Claudia has presented research at various conferences and is a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis (FABA), as well as the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA).

Natalie Nau is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at Florida International University in 2011. She then received her Masters of Science Degree in Cognitive Behavioral Disorders through Nova Southeastern University in 2014. She obtained her certification as a BCBA in May of 2018.

 

Natalie has been working in the ABA field since 2010 and truly loves the field. She has worked in various settings including the home setting and school settings with clients ranging in age as wide as 3-65 years of age with various developmental disabilities. As a BCBA, she has experience training therapist, parents, and teachers, working one-on-one with clients, developing and implementing behavior reduction procedures, writing and implementing behavioral programs for acquisition skills, and conducting assessments. She also has over 2-years of experience creating and leading social skills programs.

Natalie truly loves working closely with families to improve the quality of life of individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities and considers working in Applied Behavior Analysis to be her passion. She regularly attends workshops and trainings to remain current in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Sherry Vaquero is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) born and raised in Miami, FL.

She graduated from Florida International University in 2014 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. During this time, she fell in love with behavior analysis after taking an introduction to ABA course during her undergraduate classes. Soon after, she joined FIU’s summer treatment program where she provided one-to-one therapy to children ages 3-5 years old and decided this was the career path for her. She has since graduated with her Masters of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Nova Southeastern University in 2017. She obtained her certification as a BCBA in August of 2017.

For 5 years, Sherry has worked with a large population of children diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Developmental delays, and related problem behaviors in home, school, and center based settings around South Florida. As a BCBA, she has provided one-to-one therapy, implementing verbal behavior programs, maladaptive behavior reduction interventions, creating behavior support plans, training and supervising behavior technicians, and providing parent trainings.

Sherry is truly grateful for all the experiences she has shared with these children and their families. She will continue to pursue growth in her professional developmental in order to be able to continue making a difference. Seeing the change in her clients and helping them reach their full potential is the most rewarding part of her job, and she says that she “wouldn’t trade it” for anything!

Sydnie Pena is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).

 She graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2016. She received her Certification as a BCaBA in August of 2018. She is currently enrolled at the University of West Florida in pursuit of a Master’s Degree in ABA and Special Education so that she can obtain her certification as a BCBA.

During her time at FIU, Sydnie was involved in a research study looking at the effects of ADHD on working memory in children. Soon after, she joined the field of ABA in 2015 and began her work as an RBT. She was employed for three years in a private school/therapy center in which she had the chance to experience working with children from ages 2 to 13 with a wide range of problem behaviors within both a classroom and clinical setting.

Sydnie is enthusiastic to learn more about Applied Behavior Analysis each day and will continue her career with the intention to leave a print on each child and family she has the opportunity to work with. She regularly reads, attends trainings and workshops in order to maintain current knowledge in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.

She graduated from Florida International University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a concentration in Behavior Analysis. She wishes to continue her education by obtaining her Masters of Arts in Behavior Analysis. She is currently working on obtaining her Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst certification (BCaBA). She received her Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in February of 2017.

Since 2012, Vanessa has provided one-on-one therapy to children on the autism spectrum in classroom, clinical, and home settings. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), she implements verbal behavior programs under the supervision of a BCBA. She has conducted toilet training programs, acquisition programs, as well as behavior reduction procedures using the methods of Applied Behavior Analysis. She is experienced and enjoys working with low-functioning learners.

Vanessa is very passionate and cares for her clients. Her ultimate goal is to improve the lifestyle of the children and families she works with by teaching them everyday life skills. She regularly reads, attends trainings and workshops in order to maintain current knowledge in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.

 She is currently working on obtaining her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in Behavior Analysis. She received her Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in December of 2015.

Heidy has had the opportunity to work with children for the past 7 years. As an RBT, she provides one-on-one therapy to children with ASD under the supervision of a BCBA. She loves working with children, as they have taught her what the true meaning of patience, love, and understanding are. She regularly reads and attends trainings in Behavior Analysis in order to maintain current knowledge in the field.

He is currently working on his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis at Florida International University. He plans on receiving his RBT certification and pursuing ABA as a career.

As a Verbal Behavior Therapist, he conducts one-on-one therapy and implements acquisition and behavior reduction programs under the supervision of a BCBA.

Arletty is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). She is currently working on her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in Behavior Analysis at Florida International University. Eleni Tsalikis is a Verbal Behavior Therapist.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a focus in Cognitive Neuroscience from Florida International University (FIU) in the fall of 2017. She is currently working towards receiving her RBT certification.

As a Verbal Behavior therapist, Eleni implements acquisition and behavior reduction programs under the supervision of a BCBA. She is dedicated to helping clients reach their individual goals and make their time at the center a positive experience.

In addition, Eleni is a post-baccalaureate research assistant at FIU working on independent projects regarding child anxiety and neural functions. In the future, she plans on attending a Clinical Neuroscience PhD program for graduate school. She hopes to one day lead innovative research to improve the treatment of behavioral and developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
